Seed Art with Hennepin County
Saturday, May 30, 2026 | 10 AM - 3 PM
Create your own nature-inspired masterpiece using seeds of all shapes and sizes! Kids can design patterns, pictures, or abstract art while exploring textures, colors, and creativity. This hands-on activity blends art and science as young makers discover how tiny seeds can grow into big ideas.

Family Workshop:
Pollinator Houses
Join us on Monday, March 30 from 10:30–11:30 a.m. for our Family Workshop: Pollinator Houses! Designed for kids ages 4–10, this hands-on workshop invites young engineers to design and build a cozy habitat to support important pollinators.
The cost is $15 per child ($12 for members), and adults attend free.
After the workshop, families are invited to keep exploring the museum at a special discounted admission rate of $7 per child and adult (members free).

On Friday, March 20, join us for a special Explore It! drop-in activity with the National Weather Service from 1–4 p.m. They’ll share a hands-on river table demonstration and show extreme weather footage, offering families a close-up look at how weather shapes our world.
