Camps and Classes

Hands-on, minds-on learning and fun!

The Works' camps and classes are ideal for girls and boys who love to explore, discover, design and build. Campers have fun and learn how things work with hands-on projects in many areas of science and engineering.

Camps and Classes at The Works

  • Tuition includes instruction and all materials. Full and partial scholarships are available. The Works' 2011 class scholarship application can be found here.
  • Enrollment is limited to allow lots of attention from The Works’ knowledgeable and caring staff.
  • Members - take $10 off summer camp and $5 off classes.  Become a member starting at $70 per year and receive unlimited visits to The Works for a full calendar year.
  • Maximum camper to instructor ratio is 10:1. All camps/classes are held at our location in Bloomington.

 School Year Classes

The Works offers school year classes during MEA Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break.  One day classes are available for students currently in Grades 1 through 4.  Classes run from 10am-3pm, and cost $55.00.  Before and after care is also available for an additional $5.00 each.  For descriptions and registration information, click here.

 

Summer Camps

The Works offers summer camps for students entering Kindergarten through Grade 7 in Fall 2012.  Summer camps begin the in mid-June and run until Labor Day Weekend.

The Works offers morning and afternoon half-day camps, as well as some full-day camps.  Half-day camps can be combined to create a full day experience.  Camps vary in length from 3-5 days.
