Residencies

Bring The Works to your school for in-depth projects in engineering.

Customize a residency for your students to enhance your curriculum and delight your students with hands-on engineering experience.

For example:

Eclectic Electricity

This program incorporates 2.5 hours of hands-on exploration of electricity.  Incorporating our Circuits and Motor Power workshops, students experiment with different types of circuits, discover how electric motors work, and construct a motor-powered fan.  Students also examine Electrolytes and identify what types of solutions conduct electricity.  Then, they explore Electroplating and use an electrolyte solution to plate the copper from a penny onto a nickel.
