Special thanks to the Medtronic Foundation for major funding for development of  The Works' educational programs.

Thank you to The Works’ volunteers for sharing time and talents:

Special thanks to Tracy Baresh -- the mastermind and muscle behind the de-junkification of The Works' overflowing storage areas, and several other awesome transformations.  Tracy, we appreciate your vision, dedication, energy and sense of humor.

We remain grateful to Tim Klevar, an energetic IT executive who has generously contributed many, many hours to The Works.  Tim sorted through, slicked up and networked together our humble office computers, creating a vastly improved system for all those "behind the scenes" tasks plus a vision and plan for future technology. He then guided (hauled?) our accounting system into the modern world and taught the staff to love accounting.  Thanks for being there when we needed you, Tim!

Infinite gratitude and admiration to Marsha Lynn (Star Exhibits) and Dan Newby (The Big Change) for elegant and spunky design of all 5 museum environments for The Works -- the Bell Museum, Ridgedale, Eden Prairie Center, Southdale and now, the Edina Community Center!  Thank you also for detailed drawings, specific sources, practical solutions, thought provoking questions and never losing your serenity.

Hats off to our awesome exhibit makers for their latest masterpieces!  Special thanks to Willis Bowman, Bruce Anderson, Andy Warner, Roy Bewick, Carl Haefemeyer, to Bill Schwabacher, Duane Marcotte, Paul Sebby, Scott Mazar, Mike Rancour, Scott Matzke, Brenda Grove, Molly Grove, Tracy Baresh, and John Pearson for care and tending of the exhibit gallery.

For help with our many moves: The Pearson/Poole family, The Grove family, The Hoch/Haefemeyer family, Brian Mulhern, Dave Wood, the Purvey/Marcus family, Lisa Petersson, Jim Garrity, John Mulhern, Jeb and Karl Singer, Diane and Derek Rucker.

For setting up The Works exhibit gallery  at The Edina Community Center: Brian Mulhern, Bruce Anderson,  Willis Bowman, John Jesperson, Paul Sebby, Carol & Brianna Parry, Matthew & Michael Dole, Jim Garrity, Carl Haefemeyer, Jeb & Karl Singer.  Special thanks to Josh Rownd, whose architectural expertise and generous heart enabled us to stay with Plan A,  to Mark Anderson, ECC Building Supervisor, who answered all our questions and fixed all our problems, and to Brenda, Colin and Molly Grove who came night after night after night, efficiently and effectively transforming the gallery walls with 23 cans of brightly colored paint.

worm gearThank you to The Works' Board of Trustees for strategic guidance, financial support, sense of humor and ongoing devotion to "hands-on, minds-on" learning about science and engineering.  These folks are the muscle behind our mission:  Don Craighead, Kevin DiLorenzo, Leroy Fingerson, Elizabeth Grant, Anita Hall, Larry Jodsaas, Aaron Masterson, Derek Rucker,  Karl Schwappach, Paul Stephenson, Richard Voyles and Joan Wrabetz. Many thanks also to past Board members who have enriched The Works across the years with wise insights, creative vision, key connections and genuine good sense.
