Family Engineering Night at Eden Lake Elementary School

It’s been a busy month at The Works Museum! We kicked off February by taking engineering on the road to Eden Lake Elementary.

The Works Museum added hands-on engineering activities to the school's Family Fun Night where students and families teamed up to complete circuits, launch catapults, design boats that float, and tackle many other engineering challenges together.

Seeing kids and grown-ups collaborating, problem-solving, and discovering that they’re engineers too was the best part of the night. We are grateful for volunteers from the SWE UMN, as well as Collins Aerospace, who helped facilitate activities and inspire families.

The event was made possible by the Eden Prairie Community Foundation. Thank you for supporting our work to deliver important early engineering experiences to this amazing school community.
