On April 15, 2026, we had the opportunity to join partners from across the state at STEM Day at the Capitol, sharing the power of hands-on, career-connected learning with legislators, industry representatives, educators, and community members.

During Volunteer Appreciation Week, we are proud to recognize the volunteers who help  make engineering feel welcoming, creative, and accessible to every visitor at The Works  Museum.

The Works Museum hosted the first-ever Build It Expo family event on Saturday, April 11, 2026 - and what an exciting day it was! The event welcomed more than 380 visitors, alongside 49 of our amazing volunteers. Professionals from construction fields and the skilled trades led hands-on activities and demonstrations that inspired kids to explore new ideas and imagine future career pathways.

Something exciting is happening at The Works Museum this weekend! Families are invited to join us for our first-ever Build It Expo on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This brand-new event celebrates the people, tools, and ideas that help create the places where we live, work, and play. 

Our 22nd annual Tech Fest family event was an amazing day at The Works Museum. It was wonderful to see so many families spending time together building, testing ideas, and trying something new.

This winter, museum visitors enjoyed many opportunities to participate in Pop-Up Engineering—a variety of guided STEM activities facilitated by our amazing volunteers on the museum floor. This past month, we welcomed a special guest, Kendra Kreinbrink.

There’s something extra special about learning side by side with a grandparent. This winter, The Works Museum is excited to introduce a brand-new experience designed just for that: Grandparents Day, a hands-on engineering and design workshop for kids and their grandparents to enjoy together.
