Behind-the-scenes Volunteering

 
 

A big thank you to our Board of Trustees member, Rob Sleezer, and his son, Sean, for volunteering their time to support The Works Museum’s programs.

Behind every hands-on engineering experience is a lot of behind-the-scenes preparation; and Rob and Sean tackled a big one.

Together, they cut nearly 900 pegboards used for take-home ear harps in our new Feel the Noise workshop, designed for K-5 students to explore the science of sound. They also prepped enough wood for 32 campers to make candy dispensers and Plinko games, and 16 campers to make pinball machines. Wow!

We're so grateful for volunteers like Rob and Sean who make these experiences possible. Check out these photos of their work:
