STEM Day at the Fair 2026

We had a wonderful time celebrating STEM Day at the Fair with SciMathMN and volunteers from Xcel Energy.
The event was a great opportunity to bring hands-on STEM learning to fairgoers and encourage kids to explore engineering. Visitors to our booth created sound spinners, which create a buzzing sound when spun on a string. Kids asked volunteers questions and tested creative ideas. Every interaction was a chance to show that STEM is all around us!
We’re grateful to SciMathMN for bringing so many amazing organizations together to celebrate STEM and inspire the next generation of scientists, innovators, engineers, and creative problem-solvers.
We couldn’t have done this without the support of our event partner Xcel Energy, and their amazing volunteers. We are so grateful for the time and energy they put in to sharing hands-on engineering with kids and families at the fair.
