Women Engineers Visit LEGO Engineering Camp for Girls

Last week, a group of women engineers attending the Energetic Women Conference powered by MEA in Minneapolis spent time at The Works Museum helping prepare materials for our outreach programs, workshops, and camps.

During our LEGO Engineering camp for girls, these same engineers shared their personal stories and career journeys, helping campers discover their own engineering superpowers and learn more about STEM career pathways. Because women are underrepresented in STEM fields, opportunities for girls to connect with inspiring role models can make a lasting difference.

When girls collaborate, build confidence, and see women succeeding in STEM, they begin to envision themselves as future innovators and engineers.

Special thanks to Burns & McDonnell, CenterPoint Energy and all the Energetic Women volunteers for sharing your time, expertise, and experiences to help inspire the next generation!
