Grandparents Day Workshop at The Works Museum
There’s something extra special about learning side by side with a grandparent. This winter, The Works Museum is excited to introduce a brand-new experience designed just for that: Grandparents Day, a hands-on engineering and design workshop for kids and their grandparents to enjoy together.
Join us on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 10:30–11:30 a.m. for a cozy, creative morning that blends storytelling, building, and quality time. Created for kids ages 5–10 and their grandparents, this workshop invites families to slow down, connect, and engineer together.
The fun begins with a winter-themed story time, setting the stage for a playful engineering challenge. Then it’s time to build! Kids and grandparents will work together to design and create their very own indoor snowball launcher to take home. And while young engineers get busy building, grandparents can enjoy a hot cup of coffee during the workshop.
